Q - What size Glock Mag Tool (GMT) do I need?

A -  GMT-S (used for small caliber Glock magazines such as 9mm, .357cal, .40cal, .45G.A.P.)

The following are small caliber Glock Pistol model numbers:

17, 19, 26, 34 (9mm)  
31, 32, 33 (.357cal) 
22, 23, 27, 35 (.40cal)
37, 38, 39 (.45G.A.P.) 
GMT-L (used for Large caliber Glock magazines such as 10mm, .45cal)
The following are Large caliber Glock Pistol model numbers:
20, 29 (10mm) 
21, 30, 36 (.45cal) 

 

Q - Will the Glock Mag Tool (GMT) damage the locking tabs on the magazine body or the locking notches on the base plate?
A -  No. We have disassembled a test magazine 1,000 times and the locking tabs and locking notches function properly.

 

Q - Can I use the Glock Mag Tool (GMT) on older Generation 1 magazines (no hole in the base plate)?

A -  No.

 

Q - Will this tool work on all base plates?

A -  No. It will only work on factory original base plates (it will work on some after market magazine extension base plates).
